piqué and piqué inside today is all about the diversity within the unit today we showcase 15 different countries sampling their food talking about their journey within the military which is try service we need to talk a little bit about themselves and identifying what sort of culture change they have gone through within the service had Anthony a go-go and he was our speaker which was fantastic I had fun a dancer I had a bad child I was never gonna win but I had fun for the two or three weeks I was there I'd like to find it was nice to kind of step outside a man on the dance style my message is just no keep doing what you guys are doing you've certainly got them I've said any other most admiration for you guys and I know the rest of country have as well so yeah just keep doing your thing so I'm one of the unit's diversity and inclusion advisors and actually we have to show a cross-section of society and by having lots of different people from different backgrounds explaining where they've come from it makes us stronger as a team to know where everybody's come from the challenges people have had by the previous to joining the military or in the military and it in the long run makes us a stronger working team together I think also it's not just necessarily about diversity in the international sense there's a lot of diversity for LGBT or people's lifestyles so it's celebrating all types of diversity no matter what it is good morning and together with Lance Corporal Dan toll-free it gives me great pleasure to represent England today a joint Hospital Group South unit International Day aim personally I don't see myself as been any different to the other people I work with in the armed force there's nothing as a reflection on the modern armed forces of today it doesn't matter what kind of sexual orientation you are you are accepted for who you are and the job that you do and but I know that was different for when my husband first joined the armed forces and when the ban on being LGBT q was actually in effect and he had to hide it when he first joined off and he said even when the ban was lifted it was scary a scary place to come out in the Armed Forces I joined in 2009 and because people are like your family in the Armed Forces you can't keep it hidden for long and I found out for my basic training there was no option but to tell people and Torchwood I've had absolutely no problems at all and actually I think it just makes people trust you more because they know who you are you know they know everything about me and I haven't got a hide up there anybody that I'm not thank you guys today was amazing on behalf of me and HG so thank you [Applause] you
